What's up with Blogger?
Hello to family and friends,
We are having a wonderful time...perfect weather and great scenery! You will just have to trust us on this as blogger is currently uncooperative in uploading our photos. We camped last night at the very top of Michigan's hand (map to come) and are setting out in a few minutes to take the ferry to Mackinac Island. Hope to send photos soon. love to you all, T and L

We made it!
After a thrilling drive through torrential downpours, intense high winds, and one flat tire--we are pleased to say God has answered our prayers in getting us safely to Illinois. What fun to be here with our daughter Monica and her hubby Brian in their charming basement apartment in the lovely neighborhood of North Wheaton!
Here is photo of Monica out side of her office where she is Bible Production Coordinator.
Lunch at Portillo's a local Chicago landmark known for its beef sandwiches and hotdogs...Yummm!

Our New Adventure Begins
In May of 2008, just like the migrating birds that fly North, as "Empty Nesters" we too, will take flight to the Great Lakes Region. Cruising at a land speed of 65 MPH in our Chinook motorhome we hope to see many of the beautiful landscapes and sights of Central North America. The main purpose of the trip is to visit friends and family along the way and to spread the love of Jesus as we go.

Spectacular views of Utah from our picture window on the road

A Snowy Rocky Mountain High morning in Colorado
Wet, Windy and Wild Nebraska
That covers our first 2 days on the road, 26 hours of driving and 1451 miles behind us....YeeeHa!

Fall and Winter Short Trips
Nearly a year has past since we last submitted an entry so we thought we'd update a bit before we head out on our next big adventure.
In December we camped the last week of 2007 with a sunny but chilly stay at Cardiff by the Sea, Calif.

Our October Road trip included a visit with Tom's niece, Annie Mann, and her precious children at their apple orchard in Anza.
Beautiful foliage in Julian, before the fall fires began.
A few days at Fiddlers Cove on Coronado Island, compliments of our son-in-law and favorite Marine, Alex Panos
