Texas Style BBQ and Baseball

Not much excitement on the road today through Texas other than this stinkin' sign. But once we got into Fort Worth we hit gold at Angelo's BBQ.

Tom's client, Harish, gave us this tip about Angelo's BBQ. Had to get a bear hug to get in but it was smokin' worth it.           Very tasty!
The evening was a perfect night for baseball in the heart of Texas. Globe Life Stadium was a beautiful classic baseball park. We had great seats, the fans were fun but the Rangers lost. Too bad but the fireworks show at the end made up for it.

Take Me Out To The Ball Game

On the first day of our coast to coast road trip Tom found someone even taller than him. The real Randy Johnson "the Unit" is 6'10" but this guy was GIGANTIC. Chase Field was a very comfortable 77 degrees with the retractable roof closed. However, the Diamondbacks melted down in the 9th inning to the Nationals and lost 5 to 1. We thank our hosts Carl and Lisa Doot for the awesome seats and great time.

Lunch at the historic town of Mesilla was tasty. Now it's "Andele, Tomas" onward to Texas

Sweet gas prices makes it less painful to fill up thirsty Blue Boy
Beautiful blooming cactus and a nice place to rest for the night. So far so good in Texas.
Praise God for a great start to our trip.
