Minneapolis

Today we drove through beautiful downtown Minneapolis right before a huge thunderstorm hit.
What do you mean we came all the way here and I can't go shopping?
Mega Mall of America has something for everyone, from amusement rides for kids to.......
an aqua massage for our tired driver
Nice.....that feels really good!

Yipee...I did get to shop after all!
The best part of the day was Saturdy evening worship with other belivers at Bethlehem Baptist in downtown Minneapolis. We were encouraged and inspired by Dr. John Piper's message.

We made it!

After a thrilling drive through torrential downpours, intense high winds, and one flat tire--we are pleased to say God has answered our prayers in getting us safely to Illinois. What fun to be here with our daughter Monica and her hubby Brian in their charming basement apartment in the lovely neighborhood of North Wheaton!

Here is photo of Monica out side of her office where she is Bible Production Coordinator.

Lunch at Portillo's a local Chicago landmark known for its beef sandwiches and hotdogs...Yummm!
