Landmarks

Touring the fabulous Vanderbilt Mansion in Ashville, North Carolina

A visit with the Colonel

Here are some of the notable landmarks from the past day...you can decide if they are historical. The Biltmore Estate in North Carolina, largest home in the USA. The birthplace of the Colonel in Kentucky. The now famous oil company, El Cheapo!

Okay, you made me really jealous this time. I love the Georgia/SC coastal "low country". It really is a unique place. Thinking of those soft shell crabs makes my mouth water!! Looks like you hit it with some great weather too. Thanks for checking in with my sister. Your drop in visit was a nice surprise (but that is the southern way - y'all really would fit in down there). You guys are probably on the downhill side the way home. Have a good rest of the trip and we'll see you Monday.

Sheesh, every place you go looks really neat or fun, and I'm getting really jealous. I really miss traveling the country and creating new adventures with the world's best parents :). I'm glad you're having a great time. Looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks or so :)
