O.HI.O.

Ohio bound with all kinds of interesting weather along the way. You've heard it said, "a storm's a comin" but in our case we were comin' into the storm.  Not your typical SoCal storm either. We're talking blackened sky, gusting wind, lightening and torrential rain, even the wipers couldn't keep up.
It only lasted ten minutes and then we were treated to this gorgeous view afterwards.

Our spacious camp site on a lovely lake was in Winton Woods, outside of Cincinnati.
The warm weather was perfect for a evening bike ride.
Sunday morning before heading off to the Cincinnati Reds game we enjoyed watching our church service live streamed from San Clemente. Felt like we were right there but miss seeing our friends.

Sunday morning the eerily empty downtown streets of Cincinnati looked like a sci-fi movie set.
Great American Ball Park was a fan friendly stadium with an inviting grass area and open space to congregate. We enjoyed meeting some of the enthusiastic fans decked out in team gear.

Hall of Fame Catcher, Johnny Bench was a favorite from Lorraine's youth.
Tom had to try the local's favorite, the Skyline Coney chili cheese dog. It was just ok. Found the polish sausage and peppers dog to be far superior.

The game was very entertaining with a lot of action especially from the home team Reds, which is nice!

The team mascots are seen here jumping around in excitement because the Reds won!!!!

An old fashioned Mississippi River Boat is built into the center field wall. When a run is scored flames shoot from the smoke stacks, upon winning flames and fireworks! We got to experience all of that when the Reds won 8 to 2.  What a fun game!
Off to our next camp spot for the night at Miami Whitewater Forest, just north of Cincinnati. We about had the whole campground to ourselves. Sweet! Heading to Illinois tomorrow to be with our darling grandkids. Yippee!
